SACLC at the Plumtree End of Year Celebration

Service is at the very heart of all Lions Clubs and SACLC is no exception!

So when Plumtree, a leading not-for-profit organisation that supports young, disabled and autistic children and their families, was in need of assistance for their annual End of Year Celebration, SACLC answered the call and made their way to their Marrickville base.

In true Lions fashion, SACLC manned the hotplate and helped out with the sausage sizzle, preparing many and varied sausages and onions. The sausage sizzle was a hit with the large number of enthusiastic attendees — children and families of Plumtree — who also found much enjoyment from the miniature petting zoo, as well as a visit from Santa.

As it is SACLC’s vision to be the Lions Club for the Sydney Autism Community, we were pleased that Plumtree, who form a significant part of that community, reached out to us. It was a pleasure meeting the people that run Plumtree and we hope that we can collaborate with Plumtree even more in the years to come.
