This week, SACLC answered the call and rose to the challenge of providing relief for a local Sydney family with an autistic child in need.
Upon receiving the call from the single mother in dire straits in desperate need of food, we sprung into action and put together a hamper of food and delivered it to her that very day.
We were both humbled and moved by her overwhelming display of gratitude upon receipt of the food.
And whilst the relief package was well received, we ended up giving to them something far more valuable and longer-lasting. We gave them hope. We gave them the belief that their lives can improve and that there are people out there that will help when asked.
This is why we’re Lions.
